about this blog

I teach the philosophy of artificial intelligence and technology at the University of British Columbia. In my first-year class (Phil 150: Minds and Machines) I assign an ‘open project’ designed to get students to explore philosophical themes in ways that go beyond the traditional essay format (don’t worry, my students also learn to write critical essays in my course!). On this blog you can can find the projects of some of my students. Mostly comments have been disabled because I don’t have time to moderate them, but if you would like to comment on something you have read or get in touch with one of the authors, feel free to email me via the contact form on this site.
